6. By participating in LEAP employability and leadership program, what is the most important skill you hope to see developed in your child?

LEAP-Mini

All young people applying to participate in LEAP 2026 are required to complete a "LEAP-Mini" session.

A LEAP-Mini session is a short, 30-60-minute, ‘taster’ session. It has been designed to simulate a typical session in the LEAP program.

The LEAP-Mini offers your child a chance to experience our program, helping them decide if LEAP aligns with their goals and interests. It also allows us to assess if your child is prepared for participation in the full LEAP program in 2026.

The LEAP-Mini includes activities that are very similar to what they will experience in the full LEAP program. It is also an opportunity answer all LEAP-related questions you and your child may have.

The LEAP-Mini is conducted on Teams with a LEAP-Mini session facilitator, LEAP 2026 applicant, and a parent or guardian. It is funded through NDIS Capacity Building: Daily Living.

All LEAP-Mini sessions must be completed by Friday, November 21, 2025.
